Disappointing Race!!!

What a disappointing Daytona 500!!! First off, neither one of our drivers made it into victory lane!! Second, the first half of the race was the "taxicab 500" and the end of the race was caution, caution, caution!!! The Budweiser Shootout and Duels were much better!!! (of course I am a little biased because Jr won both of those races!!!) Let's hope the race is better next week!!!

As for us, we had a GREAT weekend!! Surprisingly, we stayed in Florence ALL weekend! We found some new walking/bike riding trails near the house and went 3 times! We had a great time exploring the trails - until one dead-ended and we had to go all the way back! But it was fun to get out and enjoy the fresh air together!! Friday night we decided to grill out and eat/watch tv in the backyard! We had a roaring campfire - and the burgers Adam made were delicious!! And then we made homemade icecream - in the backyard, without electricity!!! We have a Play and Freeze icecream maker - all you do is toss/spin the ball for about 30 minutes, and all of the sudden you have icecream!!! And it was really good! We had a great night with Mandy and Dave, our newest neighbors who have quickly become some of our best friends down here in Florence. Tomorrow is back to work..... but then next Saturday we leave on our cruise!!! woohoo!! We leave out of Jacksonville and go to Key West and Nassau. It will be great times!! And then Mom and Dad will be here for a fun 4 day weekend at the beach!!! (I guess it is a good thing we stayed in town this weekend!!!)

Hope you all have a great week!!! Here are a few more recent pics!!!

More pictures!

We have enjoyed some wonderful weather this past week!!! It has been sunny and in the high 60s/low 70s (one day it even reached 80!!) We included some recent pics of what we have been up to. We have not been to the beach these last couple of weeks. But two weeks from today we are leaving on our cruise!!! We are super excited about that! And then Mom and Dad are coming down and we are all spending a four day weekend at the beach - should be LOTS of fun!! Hope you are all doing fabuloulsy!

Bailey update!

Thanks to those of you who called/sent messages that you were thinking about Bailey! We really appreciated it! Bailey is doing GREAT! She is back to her normal self! The hardest part is that the vet said no physical activity for 10 days - yeah right!!! It is hard not to play with her when she comes to you with those big brown eyes and she has that rope in her mouth! So we are trying to keep the running to a minimal - but even that has been difficult!! Both dogs are doing wonderful!

On a sadder note, please pray for Adam's grandpa. He was admitted to the hospital a few days ago. Based on the updates we have gotten, the doctors still aren't sure exactly what the problem is. We are not sure how much longer he will be in the hospital. I know Adam would sure appreciate everyone keeping him in their thoughts and prayers!

Hope you all have a great weekend!! It is sunny and in the 60s here - life is good!
